Part art deco, part folk art, and designed to be used as a linocut in the future.

The overall style of this one evolved a bit in part because of the subject matter. I may try a strict-rules art deco whale sometime, but here I found I really needed sweeping circles and smooth tapering shapes. I left the central print "uncaged" with decor because while tigers or wolves may have their dens blue whales have the wide open ocean.

This is a digital tattoo design done for a private client. They wanted something that blended my cave art and Scythian inspired designs. Seeing as this is a private commission it is NOT available for use to anyone but the commissioner; contact me for a quote if you’d like me to design something for you.

Homo sapiens overlapped with Homo neanderthalensis for between 2,600 years and 5,400 years. Neanderthals buried their dead, took care of their infirm, fashioned ornaments, and made tools just as mankind today does. We know genetically that we interbred with them; through what events and reasons are unknown. To enact warfare is to be human. But it is just as likely we broke the equivalent of bread with them for a least a few thousand years. To see Neanderthal remains is to look in a mirror down a road not taken.

Art for a prospective oracle card project. Digital 2024.

The first dogs were domesticated from wolves approximately 30,000 years ago. Three dog skulls dated to the Paleolithic were found in the Czech Republic and a paper published on them in 2012. Little has changed in human love for their dogs; one skull was found buried with a mammoth bone in its mouth. Placed there by human hands and buried with intention for a lost companion.

An art exercise where one copies famous internet memes for various sorts of practice. I chose Lo-Fi girl and mashed it up with my avatar character Palaeo.

Whatever you want to be someday: be intense. Digital art experimenting with a color palette I’ve never used before and refining long lanky shapes.
